I do still believe in God, but it's much different than the way I believed before. I am very spiritual yet not religeous. I am very aware that there is a God. I do talk to him but it is in different terms... I don't pray really, it's more like meditation. I am very careful to live my life in a way that I am proud of and that I can justify, yet I no longer fear God in the way I did before when I was in the religeon.

i'm curious to know if not beng able to comment at meetings was something you felt badly about if you were on restrictions.. i don't comment anyway, but i hardly think not being able to comment is a "restriction" in itself.. .
It actually didn't bother me b/c by that time I was already looking for a way out. However, like Sweetface said, at bookstudies it is so obvious your not commenting and that bothered me b/c I didn't want people to know I was on restrictions. At the meetings, it was easy b/c there was always like 100 people there so it isn't obvious at all but at bookstudies, its a lot harder.

I was genuinely happy for them. I used to try and guess each time the CO visited who would be appointed, if anyone. I always bought into the whole thing...

since i am about to partake (*smile*) in my favorite sunday breakfast, i thought it would be fun for everyone to describe their favorite breakfast here.. sunday breakfast was always a big deal for my family and growing up, it was the one day and time that we actually sat together had breakfast and talked about our week and sat for a good hour or so just catching up with each other.. for over 20 years, this breakfast consisted of bacon, sausage (kielbasa or italian), biscuits, eggs (cheese or plain), and grits.
to this day, i still feel it's a special nice time.. do share, i thought it would be fun to see other people's traditions on sunday breakfast....

I love sandwiches made with bacon and cheese on a croissant, or multigrain toast as long as it is toasted. I love hashbrowns too. Lots of fresh-squeezed orange juice (lots of pulp) and coffee with cream. Yum!

as an elder, i would entertain alot of the cos, dos and bethelites and their wives.
it was not unusual for the wives to get loaded while they were at my house!
Yes there were. Firstly, my mom is an alcoholic. My Dad liked the sauce too, a little too much. Whenever they entertained, a lot of alcohol was consumed almost every time. But mostly I remember there always being a locals needs part after weddings or gatherings and how things got out of hand with drinking. Even a few instances of wife swapping took place.
